Membership Categories
New Members are welcome to join the Labrador Agricultural Association.

There are two membership categories:
- Producer Membership
- Associate Membership
Producer Membership
- Producer membership is open to any owner, director, or delegate who is representing a single farm business (producer and seller of agricultural goods) and one or more agricultural land lease or title associated with that business.
- One producer member may represent only one individual farm business and associated leases or land titles. All memberships in this category undergo a due-diligence process and periodic review by the membership and ethics committee.
- Producer members may serve in leadership roles as committee chairs, committee members, directors and task force members and vote1 in association elections, and on resolutions put forth to membership from time to time.
1Membership fees must be paid in full by no less than 60 days before the association annual general meeting in any given year to be eligible to vote.
Producer membership is $35 CAD per year. (effective May 1, 2024).
Associate Membership
- Associate membership is open to anyone involved in agriculture in any capacity and anyone who wishes to support the agriculture sector in Labrador.
- This can include but is not limited to farm employees or workers who don't otherwise qualify for producer membership, gardeners, ranchers, growers, homesteaders, backyard animal keepers, foragers, and other allies.
- All memberships in this category undergo a due-diligence process and periodic review by the membership and ethics committee.
- Associate members represent an integral part of our membership and the association is extremely committed to making sure that your voice is heard right along side of our commercial producers. All associate members are welcome and encouraged to become actively involved in association activities, discussions, events, and initiatives and may serve as task force or committee members. Your voice matters!
Associate membership is $10 CAD per year. (effective May 1, 2024)
